4C Anchieta, Chelsea

Welcome to 4th Grade!

My name is Mrs. Anchieta and I will be your child’s 4th grade teacher.  I am looking forward to working with your child throughout this school year.  Since I have high expectations for all of my students, I will be helping all students in conducting themselves with integrity and honesty.  I will be teaching basic life skills, organizational skills, and problem resolution skills to help make all classroom experiences enjoyable.  In my classroom, I utilize the concept of cooperative learning. Your child will be working in groups as well as individually throughout the year.  Therefore, it is essential that your child follows all basic rules and procedures.

Fourth grade is an important school year because this year your child will not only be taking the Reading and Math sections of the STAAR test, they will also be tested in Writing.  To enable your child to achieve their best scores possible, we will have numerous creative writing assignments throughout the school year, as well as much practice in math and reading.  Parent Portal will be available at any time to view student grades and assignments.  Your child will be writing their homework for all classes in a planner or homework sheet.  Please check and sign this daily so you know what needs to be completed as homework.  I am looking forward to a great school year!  If you have any questions, please contact the school at 236-8450 or email me at ckanchie@episd.org.  My conference period is from 9:00 - 9:45.
